Information Disclosure Policy Regarding Scanner Product Data (fi Series/SP Series/ScanSnap Series) 

 

This document describes the information disclosure policy based on the EU Data Act Regulations 2023/2854 concerning scanners (fi Series/SP Series/ScanSnap Series) (hereinafter referred to as “the Product”). 

 1. Target Data

  • The types, formats, and estimated amounts of data generated and processed by the Product are as follows:

Optical sensor light receiving values (Sensor A, Sensor B, Sensor C) Binary Up to 8 bytes / per power-on
Specific error occurrence counts (operation panel abnormality, Wi-Fi module abnormality) Binary Up to 8 bytes / per error
Specific operation occurrence counts (power-on count, ADF cover open/close count) Binary Up to 8 bytes / per operation

 

2. Generation of Target Data

The product continuously generates product data in real time

  

3. Storage of Target Data

The product stores this data in its internal storage.
The retention period of the data is: at minimum, until the next scan (when updated); at maximum, as long as the internal storage is accessible.

 

4. User Access to Target Data

Please contact the contact desk described in section 5 for information on how users can access and search their data.
Note: There is no method for users to erase this data by themselves.
